European Assurance Scheme
The European Molecular Genetics Quality Network (EMQN www.emqn.org) provides an External Quality Assessment (EQA) service for Monogenic Diabetes.
This external quality assessment scheme is designed to assess laboratories abilities to perform appropriate testing and to correctly identify mutations in the GCK, HNF1A and HNF1B genes.
The Eurogentest website also contains information on EQA

An information leaflet about EQA is available in English and French at the EQA website.
European best practice guidelines for MODY genetic testing can be found at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2270360/
