Partner 8 - Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich

The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zürich has an international reputation of excellence, with two Nobel Prize awardees in the last decade. Research covers topics in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular physiology, structural biology, systems biology, microbiology, neurosciences, immunology and plant sciences.

The task of the Institute of Molecular Systems Biology is to study biological systems and processes as dynamic, integrated networks of interacting molecules.

ETH-Zurich’s CEED3 work is led by Professor Markus Stoffel who has more than 15 years experience in molecular genetics and islet biology. His research focuses on the molecular and genetic mechanisms that regulate glucose and lipid homeostasis and that are deregulated in diseases such as type 2 diabetes.
